Sinec we are entering speech part, I decide to give you guys a few tips on how to give a good speech.
Give a speech infront of people is not easy,expecially English is our second language, it's even harder. When you watch someone give a speech, you can easly to tell if that person are nervous or not. The sign are standing strict, touch body part, use filling words...
If you see a person standing there the hole time with out any body movments than he is totaly stress, if you go closer to him, I;m sure you can hear his heartbeating. And people tend to touch their head or other body part when they don't know what to see. The same thing with filling words, filling words are words like"en, will, you know, like..." those words you use betwween sentences, some time you even can't realized you used the word. One or two filling words are ok, but if you use too many time, they can make your speech boring, we all don't want see that happen.

ReplyDeleteI agree, I feel that if we hope get a good speech, we need do more exercise. However, I feel that your speech is good because you always answer questions during class time. Good job.
However, in my mind i believe make a speech is a difficult thing for me, because I have a bad grade in peroration last quarter. T_T..., so maybe I need more exercise``
